We are looking for an experienced Video Editor to join our Video production team.
This is not a training position. We are looking for someone who is already a competent video editor (even though our editing style is pretty basic) and can take a script, voiceover, footage, and reference video and turn them into a clean, engaging, professionally edited video.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
You will receive:
* The completed script
* The voiceover
* A reference video showing the editing style we want (We mostly use the same editing style in all our videos, so once you get it the first time, you just repeat it on all videos or make it a preset in CapCut).
We will teach you our preferred method for finding and sourcing the appropriate footage/video clips.
Your responsibility will then be to:
* Source the required footage and video clips based on the script (We use Google Flow and Pexels).
* Edit the video smoothly according to our reference
* Match the pacing, transitions, effects, text, visual changes, and overall editing style of the reference
* Ensure the voiceover and visuals are properly synchronized
* Create smooth and engaging visual flow throughout the video
* Review your work carefully before submission
* Deliver a fully edited video every working day
Our videos are usually 10–25 minutes long, although approximately 90% of our videos are around 10 to 15 minutes.
WORK SCHEDULE & EXPECTATIONS
We currently aim to produce 10 videos per week, but the editor will be responsible for delivering a 7 fully edited videos every week.
Working days:
Monday – Friday
No weekend work is required.
Daily working hours:
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
You are expected to be available and actively working during this period.
Your edited video must be submitted by 6:00 PM each working day.
While on duty, you must remain available online in case we need to communicate with you, provide clarification, make changes, or address an issue with the video.
This is not a position where you work on our videos only when you have free time.
This job must be treated as a priority, not an option or side activity.
If you have another commitment that regularly takes priority over this job during working hours, this position will not be a good fit for you.
WEEKLY TARGET:
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applicants who meet the requirements will be given a reference video to review.
You will be asked to carefully study the editing style and confirm whether you can produce something of a similar standard.
Shortlisted candidates may also be required to complete a practical editing test before a final hiring decision is made.
Please do not apply if:
* You only edit videos using your phone
* You do not currently have a suitable laptop/desktop
* You are still learning basic video editing
* You cannot commit to the Monday–Friday schedule
* You have another job/internship/business that will regularly take priority during our working hours
* You cannot consistently meet the weekly target
* You are uncomfortable being active during working hours
If you are an experienced video editor who is reliable, disciplined, and confident you can consistently deliver 7 quality videos per week, we would like to hear from you.
WEEKLY REQUIREMENT
7 fully edited videos per week.
If you are highly productive and complete all 7 required videos before Friday, you may take the remaining working days off for that week.
For example, if you complete all 7 required videos by Thursday and everything has been approved, you do not need to work on Friday.
However, the weekly requirement remains 7 fully completed videos.
YOU MUST:
* Already be an experienced video editor
* Have previous professional video editing experience
* Understand pacing, transitions, visual storytelling, sound synchronization, and footage selection
* Be able to work independently after receiving instructions
* Be reliable and consistent with deadlines
* Have a stable internet connection
* Be available during working hours
* Be able to commit to the Monday–Friday schedule
* Be able to consistently deliver 7 fully edited videos per week
IMPORTANT
We are NOT looking for someone who is currently learning how to become a video editor.
If you are still learning the basics of video editing, this position is not for you.
We need someone who is already a competent video editor and can start working immediately, follow our editing style, and produce quality videos with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate is someone who:
* Takes deadlines seriously
* Doesn't need to be constantly reminded to work
* Can follow instructions carefully
* Pays attention to small details
* Can replicate an established editing style
* Is responsive when contacted
* Takes ownership of their work
* Understands that consistency is extremely important in production
