PolyGate Automation is looking for a proven enterprise salesperson who knows how to open doors, engage senior decision-makers, understand business problems and close high-value deals.
This is NOT an entry-level sales position.
We are looking for someone with a serious track record in high-value B2B sales.
ABOUT THE ROLE
PolyGate builds AI automation systems that help businesses increase revenue, reduce operating costs, improve customer experience and automate repetitive operations.
Our solutions are being positioned for businesses across hospitality, oil & gas, engineering, professional services and other enterprise sectors.
Typical engagements can be around ₦10M, with individual contracts potentially being significantly larger.
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, getting in front of decision-makers, understanding their business challenges, presenting the right solution, negotiating and closing.

Your responsibility is to build the relationship, create the opportunity and close the deal.
COMPENSATION
₦400,000 monthly base salary
PLUS
10% commission on revenue actually collected by PolyGate.
There is NO commission ceiling.
Example:
₦10M deal collected = ₦1M commission
₦400K base + ₦1M commission = ₦1.4M total
₦30M collected = ₦3M commission
₦400K base + ₦3M commission = ₦3.4M total
Commission is based on revenue actually collected, not simply proposals submitted or verbal agreements.
Commission terms and payment timelines will be clearly documented in the employment/commission agreement.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We strongly prefer candidates with 10+ years of professional sales experience and a demonstrated history of personally contributing to or closing hundreds of millions of naira in transactions.
Your experience could be in:
• Enterprise technology • Oil & Gas • Engineering • Hospitality • Consulting • Telecommunications • Banking • Infrastructure • Professional services • Industrial products • Other high-value B2B sectors
Industry experience is important, but your ability to sell complex, high-value solutions matters more.
YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE YOUR TRACK RECORD

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identify target companies • Research decision-makers • Generate and qualify opportunities • Secure meetings with business owners and executives • Conduct discovery meetings • Present relevant PolyGate solutions • Build commercial business cases • Negotiate contracts • Close deals • Follow up consistently • Maintain accurate CRM records • Develop existing accounts • Generate referrals • Build a strong enterprise pipeline
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
This is an active field-sales position.
The target is approximately 15 qualified client interactions/meetings per working day, depending on territory, opportunity and circumstances.
We care about quality, not meaningless activity.
Performance will primarily be measured by:
• Revenue generated • Cash collected • Qualified pipeline • Qualified meetings • Proposal-to-close conversion • Average contract value • Client retention and expansion • CRM discipline
Revenue is the ultimate scoreboard.
VEHICLE REQUIREMENT
Because this is a field-based Abuja enterprise-sales role, you must have reliable access to a personal vehicle.
The vehicle does not need to be expensive.
It needs to be:
• Reliable • Legally roadworthy • Available for work • Suitable for professional client meetings
Reasonable, pre-approved business travel expenses will be handled according to PolyGate's expense policy.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are likely a strong fit if:
• You can get meetings with CEOs, MDs and business owners. • You understand enterprise procurement. • You know how to sell value rather than simply discount. • You can negotiate confidently. • You understand how businesses make money. • You are comfortable selling to senior executives. • You have an established professional network. • You are comfortable generating your own opportunities. • You have consistently exceeded sales targets. • You can demonstrate actual sales numbers. • You want your earning potential to reflect the value you create.
WHO SHOULD NOT APPLY
This role is probably not suitable if:
• Your experience is primarily retail or consumer sales. • You have never sold high-value B2B solutions. • You require constant supervision. • You dislike field sales. • You are uncomfortable approaching senior decision-makers. • You cannot demonstrate meaningful closing experience. • You prefer activity over commercial results. • You are looking for a passive role.
Ten years of experience does not automatically mean ten years of excellence.
